About

Established in 2020, the NUS (Chongqing) Research Institute is a university level research institute with the key research pillars including Advanced Manufacturing and Materials, Information Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Modern Logistics, and Finance and Financial Risk Management.

The “Modern Logistics” team develops tools and technologies, and trains key manpower (engineers, students, and researchers) specializing in the field of Operations Research and Analytics, relating to its applications in the field of modern logistics.

NUSRI-CQ Affiliated PhD Programme

The NUSRI-CQ affiliated PhD programme is launched with the following objectives:

Candidates enrolled in the NUSRI-CQ affiliated PhD programme (Modern Logistics) will complete the requirements for the NUS PhD Programme in Operations Research and Analytics.

The candidates will spend their first year of course work in NUS, a subsequent 2 years of research in NUSRI-CQ, and a final year of research work in NUS.

Information On Research Scholarship

The NUSRI-CQ PhD Scholarship is awarded to outstanding candidates who have been offered admission to the NUSRI-CQ affiliated PhD Programme. The research scholarship consists of a monthly stipend and full tuition fee subsidy.

The research scholarship is administered and managed in accordance with the NUS rules and regulations.

Recipients of the NUSRI-CQ PhD Scholarship are required to work in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area after graduation for at least two years. It could be through self-employment, employment under government agencies or any business entities, or continuing research works in research institutions, such as NUSRI-CQ.

Application Procedure

Candidates who are keen to apply for the NUSRI-CQ affiliated PhD programme (Modern Logistics) will submit an application for the NUS PhD Programme in Operations Research and Analytics.
