PhD Programme
IORA offers a multidisciplinary Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme with the area of specialization in Operations Research and Analytics.
The PhD Programme in Operations Research and Analytics is designed to provide students with a strong training in the fields of Operations Research and Analytics, empowering them to contribute to advanced research and make a positive impact on society.
The programme leverages on the combined expertise of the NUS faculty housed in various departments to deliver a rigorous PhD curriculum. Faculty members affiliated with IORA have attained international recognition and are viewed as one of the best groups in the field of Operations Research in the world.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must have at least a good Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.
TOEFL/ IELTS:
TOEFL/ IELTS is required of all applicants whose medium of university instruction is not English.
GRE:
With effect from AY2023/2024 (August 2023) intake, all applicants are required to submit GRE score reports.
Applicants must obtain an aggregate minimum score of 320 for the Verbal (V) and Quantitative (Q) sections and a minimum score of 3.5 for the Analytical (A) section.
Exemption from the GRE requirements will be given to:
– Graduates from NUS/ NTU/ SUTD/ SMU who have graduated with Honors (Highest Distinction).
– Final year students from NUS/ NTU/ SUTD/ SMU who are expected to obtain Honors (Highest Distinction).
– Final year students from NUS who are expected to obtain Honors (Distinction).
