Congratulations to Ashwin, IORA Research Assistant, who is going the extra-mile in growing his professional career by participating in Microsoft Azure Virtual Hackathon, organized by Microsoft and United Nations Development Programme and the team has won with integrated urban farming solution.

His team developed a solution called AgroVision which utilized ML and IoT technology to build an integrated farm management solution that would help in to increase the yield output from urban farms by monitoring health and being able to detect weed in its early stages which were the primary requirements of the problem statement. The team also wanted to capture environmental data to be able to do root cause analysis as to why a particular plant was unhealthy or if the conditions would encourage growth of weeds in the farming area.
