Dr Guodong Lyu - George B. Dantzig Dissertation Award Competition
The George B. Dantzig Dissertation Award is given for the best dissertation in any area of operations research and the management sciences that is innovative and relevant to practice. This award has been established to encourage academic research that combines theory and practice and stimulates greater interaction between doctoral students (and their advisors) and the world of practice.
Dr. Guodong Lyu is the finalist with his PhD thesis “Online Resource Allocation: Theory and Applications”, under the supervision by Professor Chung-Piaw Teo (IORA, NUS). Dr. Guodong Lyu received his PhD from Department of Analytics & Operations, NUS Business School, 2019.
His primary research interests include online optimization and robust optimization, with potential applications in supply chain management and logistics, ride-sharing, online retailing, humanitarian logistics, and revenue management.
