Congratulations to Dr. Huang Jinjia on being named one of only 20 winners of the 2026 Tianjin University Prestigious Natural Science Technology Innovation Award – Youth Science and Innovation Award (青年科创奖) 🎉.

His project, “Demand Forecasting and Inventory Optimisation System for Civil Aviation Hub Operation and Management”, stood out in a competitive field of 66 submissions, the majority of which were in science and engineering. His project focused on addressing real-world challenges in civil aviation, enabling more efficient and resilient airport operations. The award he received highlights the impact of his research in operations and supply chain management ⚙️.

Dr. Huang was a Senior Research Fellow at IORA from 2018 to January 2026, where he worked closely with Prof Teo Chung Piaw and Prof Mabel Chou on aviation operations and supply chain management. He has since joined Tianjin University as a Distinguished Associate Professor at the Institute of Systems Engineering, College of Management and Economics 🏫.
