Meet our featured NUS IORA Alumni, Zhu Qiuyu 🤩! From sharpening his problem-solving skills at IORA to applying AI to real-world challenges in the travel industry, Qiuyu’s journey shows how the skills developed through research can translate into meaningful impact beyond academia.

Today, he works as a Data Science Manager at Agoda, where he applies AI to solve travel-related problems. Looking back on his time at IORA, he shares how the experience helped him learn to define problems clearly, focus on what matters most and build effective solutions, while also strengthening his communication skills and helping him discover his passion 🎓.
