About the Project
The development of tools and modelling platform is in the aid of solving real life problem in a variety of application areas. A team of PI’s are deploying and validating these methodologies in the logistics industry, to find good robust solutions for a variety of problems like TSP and the VRP problems.
Specifically, the aim is to address the challenges of prescriptive analytics in dynamic environments, accounting for time varying conditions, real time disruption, and also change in customer choice behaviour. This part of the project is led by Andrew, who particularly well known for his work with Phillips on a commercial procurement optimization system.
Other areas of study include Resource repositioning, Customer choice modelling and Last Mile Delivery problems.
